BLOG ENTRY #19 - January 2, 2009
Ah! Countdown to the Crown is Here!

I have never been so popular. My phone has been buzzing like crazy with calls and texts, my inbox is quickly filling up with emails, and my Blackberry is constantly flashing with new Facebook messages. Countdown to the Crown airs tonight and I’m not the only one who’s excited! 

I wanted to do a quick blog before the show airs to share with you some of the anticipation that comes before watching oneself on national television. Sure, I’ve done plenty of television and radio interviews before (two today!), but gearing up to watch this is like nothing I’ve ever experienced. I’m excited, I’m nervous, I’m scared, and I’m really just plain curious to see what the production team has put together. Like you, tonight will be my first time viewing the fully edited show and I can’t wait to see what footage made the show and what was left on the cutting room floor. I had a phenomenally positive experience filming in L.A. and know that the production team and the Miss America Organization have put something together we can all be proud of. I’ll be sure to give you my observations after the show and can’t wait to break the “behind the scenes” silence we’ve had to keep for so long!

P.S. TLC has been showing some clips of me in the trailer they’ve been running all over the internet, in malls, movie theaters, and on TV. I’m thinking that “scene” might make the show…we’ll have to see…
