Become a pre-teen contestant
MISS ILLINOIS' OUTSTANDING PRE-TEEN PROGRAM
(AGES 10-12)
The Miss Illinois Scholarship Association is proud to announce the newest addition to its pageant roster, The Miss Illinois Outstanding Pre-Teen Program.
In conjunction with the 2010 Miss Illinois Outstanding Teen Pageant, which will be contested on May 28-30, 2010 at the Hoogland Center for the Arts in Springfield, the M.I.S.A. will name a third state titleholder, Miss Illinois Outstanding Pre-Teen 2010, who will be crowned that weekend along with Miss Illinois Outstanding Teen 2010.
The Miss Illinois Outstanding Pre-Teen Pageant is open to young ladies ages 10-12. Contestants must be residents of Illinois and meet all eligibility requirements as set forth by the Miss Illinois Scholarship Association and the Miss America Organization.
Contestants will be judged on the following criteria (percentages of total scores indicated in parenthesis):
- Private Interview (25%)
- Talent (30%)
- Sportswear (10%)
- Evening Gown (10%)
- Onstage Question (5%)
- Scholastic Achievement (10%)
- Community Service (10%)
Community Service and Scholastic Achievement will be judged by an outside panel prior to the pageant.
The winner will receive a prize package and will also appear on stage and perform her talent at the 2010 Miss Illinois Pageant in June.
To compete at the 2010 Miss Illinois Outstanding Pre-Teen Pageant, contestants can either enter a local Pre-Teen Pageant or can enter as an At-Large Contestant. Please contact each local director for specifics about their pageant and individual eligibility requirements. The At-Large fee is $300 plus a separate fee for a crown and sash (please speak to the Pre-Teen Director for specific details on the cost of a crown and sash)
